Recap: Biggs Wolverines vs. Williams Yellowjackets
The Biggs Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Williams 91-38 at home. Biggs has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.
Biggs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emilio Vera, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vera has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brady Smith, who scored 22 points along with six assists and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Williams lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyden Bowen. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points.
The win (which was Biggs' sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.2 points per game. As for Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
Biggs will head out on the road to challenge the Lynx at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. CORE Butte is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Williams, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
