The Shaw Cardinals will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Our Lady of the Elms Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Shaw suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against Villa Angela-St. Joseph, falling 54-11. Shaw was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-7.
Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Elms fought the good fight in their overtime match against St. Martin de Porres on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 55-47 to the Lions.
Shaw has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Our Lady of the Elms, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-6.
