Basketball Recap: Isabella Gloriod Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Union County

There's no place like home for Oak Hall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Union County Fightin' Tigers by a score of 40-27 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 30-19 back in November.

Oak Hall got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Gloriod out in front who posted 11 points and five steals. Sarah Miller was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight steals and five boards.

Union County's loss came despite strong showings from Heaven Scott and Brooke Hunt. Scott had nine points and four steals, while Hunt put up 11 points. Scott is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Oak Hall's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Union County, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Oak Hall will host Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union County, they will head out on the road to face off against Northside Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Union County is facing Northside Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Northside Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
