Softball Recap: Chaffey Comes Up Short

Chaffey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chino Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss last Wednesday.

Chaffey saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Alvarez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Jasmine Campos was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Chaffey's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Chino, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Chaffey didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-0 loss against Diamond Ranch on the 16th. As for Chino, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against Orange Lutheran on the 12th.
