Basketball Recap: PJ O'neill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead All Saints' Academy over Brandon Academy

All Saints' Academy lost against Brandon Academy back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The All Saints' Academy Saints fell just short of the Brandon Academy Scorpions by a score of 49-46.

All Saints' Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being PJ O'Neill, who posted nine points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Gall, who put up nine points in addition to eight assists and seven boards.

Even though they lost, All Saints' Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brandon Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Harris, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Harris is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Aaron Miller-Holmes was another key player, putting up 15 points along with seven boards and six steals.

All Saints' Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Brandon Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

All Saints' Academy and Vanguard will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Brandon Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
