Basketball Recap: Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Todd County

On Friday, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte faced Todd County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Todd County Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-52 two weeks ago.

This is the second loss in a row for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Todd County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte will venture away from home to face off against Chamberlain at 8:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Todd County, they are taking a road trip to take on Mahpiya Luta at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th.
