Baseball Recap: Mississinewa's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Mississinewa not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29th (when they won 16-6). They never let the Blackford Bruins get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.

Leyton Stearns was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Kellen Rock was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Mississinewa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blackford only posted an OBP of .273.

The win made it two in a row for Mississinewa and bumps their season record up to 10-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Blackford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Mississinewa will challenge Oak Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
