Football Recap: West Side Comes Up Short on the Road Against Columbia + How To Watch

West Side had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Columbia Cougars by a score of 14-12. The Roughriders were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Nasir Cannon threw for 45 yards and one touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Side will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Hoboken at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Columbia, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Orange at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
