Basketball Recap: Kalina Lambert and Edniya White Secure Win for University

University won the last time they faced Ripley and things went their way on Friday too. The University Tigers snuck past the Ripley Tigers with a 56-52 win.

Leading University to victory were Edniya White and Kalina Lambert. White posted 17 points in addition to six steals and five assists, while Lambert went 7 for 10 on her way to 21 points. Lambert's afternoon made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aluana Spears, who had six points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

University's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Ripley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-49 loss against Dresden on the 27th. As for Ripley, they will take on Dyersburg at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Dyersburg will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Ripley surely won't give up without a fight.
