Softball Recap: Gaffney Takes a Loss

Gaffney and Catawba Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gaffney had to settle for second. They lost 12-0 to the Copperheads. The Indians were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Copperheads' pitchers proved too tough.

Gaffney moved to 18-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Catawba Ridge, they pushed their record up to 25-2 with the victory, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Gaffney nor the Copperheads have any future games scheduled.
