Softball Recap: Gallatin Victorious

Gallatin hadn't done well against Billings Senior recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Raptors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncs, sneaking past 11-9. This was a revenge game for the Raptors: when they faced off against the Broncs back in April, they had to take a 12-7 loss.

The team relied heavily on Parker Stevens, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zoe Bassham, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Gallatin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Gallatin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Billings Senior, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

As of now, neither Gallatin nor the Broncs have any future games scheduled.
