St. John's Prep came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Monsignor McClancy Crusaders by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Storm have suffered since March 19, 2024.

St. John's Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Monsignor McClancy, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
