Volleyball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans vs. Rampart Rams

Fountain-Fort Carson had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 7-13 to make it five. They fell just short of the Rampart Rams by a score of 3-2. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Roland Clark paced Fountain-Fort Carson's offense, picking up 16 kills. Clark got some help from Myren Johnson and his 42 assists. Alex Gio Nicandro controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

As for Rampart, the win got them back to even at 10-10. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on three straight.

Rampart found their leader in sophomore Keaton Klich, who had 17 digs and two aces. Klich has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times he's played.

Fountain-Fort Carson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Mesa Ridge on the 22nd. As for Rampart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Coronado on the 22nd.
