Soccer Game Preview: Jackson vs. Midtown

Jackson is 0-9 against Midtown since March of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Jackson Jaguars will host the Midtown Knights at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jackson's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Drew. With that victory, the Jaguars brought their scoring average up to 3.2 goals per game.

Meanwhile, Midtown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Panthers 10-0. Give the Knights' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Jackson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Midtown, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
