Basketball Recap: Minooka Skates Past Oswego with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Minooka over Oswego in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Minooka Indians blew the Oswego Panthers out of the water with a 79-44 final score. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Minooka was led to victory by Madelyn Kiper and Naya Carter. Kiper went 8-for-11 to rack up 26 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Carter went 9-for-11 on her way to 20 points. Kiper's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Delaney, who posted 14 points.

Minooka's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. As for Oswego, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-17.

Coming up, Minooka will challenge Bradley-Bourbonnais at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Minooka is facing Bradley-Bourbonnais at the right time seeing as Bradley-Bourbonnais is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Oswego does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
