Basketball Game Preview: Reedsport vs. Bandon Tigers

Reedsport hasn't had much luck against Bandon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Reedsport will head out on the road to take on the Bandon Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Reedsport turned things around against Gold Beach on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 37-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Reedsport has posted since January 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bandon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 victory over Umpqua Valley Christian on Wednesday.

Bandon pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Reedsport, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-13.

Reedsport was dealt a bruising 58-19 loss at the hands of Bandon in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Reedsport avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
