Volleyball Recap: Norwood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Norwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Dolores Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

While Norwood was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Dolores' winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-12, 25-19.

Darcy Bray paced Norwood's offense, picking up five kills. Bray got some help from Holli Johnson and her four assists. Finally, Bray was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Norwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Dolores, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Norwood will face off against rival Ridgway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dolores is set to take on their familiar foe Ignacio at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
