Softball Recap: Century Gets the Win

Century saw some tournament action on Monday. They came out on top against Nelson by a score of 9-6.

Alyssa Loza made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Loza was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Century let Hailey Kinney and Bailey Udasco run wild. Kinney scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Udasco scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Century back to even at 1-1. As for Nelson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Century has already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against South Medford on the 24th. As for Nelson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sherwood at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
