Football Game Preview: Clarke County Eagles vs. Central Woodstock Falcons + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Clarke County will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Woodstock Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Clarke County and three for Central Woodstock.

Clarke County's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Lunenburg Central on Friday. They took a blow against the Chargers, falling 48-0.

Meanwhile, Central Woodstock scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Skyline by a score of 42-40. Even if the Falcons couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Loss or not, Central Woodstock got some senior leadership from Sean Stead and Noah Moss. Stead rushed for 138 yards and a pair of TDs, while Moss threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes. Chris Brown helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.

Clarke County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Central Woodstock, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Clarke County strolled past Central Woodstock in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 27-12. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Brown, who rushed for 122 yards and two scores on only 14 carries.
