Basketball Recap: Leakey Takes a Loss

Leakey lost against Rocksprings back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leakey Eagles fell 59-51 to the Rocksprings Angoras. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alektra Hernandez had a dynamite game for Rocksprings, putting up 28 points. Hernandez's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Evelyn Ramirez was another key player, posting eight points.

Leakey's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Rocksprings, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14-1.

Leakey wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 42-21 victory against Knippa on the 7th. Rocksprings has also already played their next game, a 74-41 defeat against Nueces Canyon on the 7th.
