Recap: Southwest Florida Christian King's vs. Marco Island Academy Rays
The Southwest Florida Christian King's's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They breezed by Marco Island Academy on the road to the tune of 70-39. That's another feather in the cap for Southwest Florida Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Rays players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Veleon Nazarko, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Nazarko continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Jones, who scored 15 points.
The win got Southwest Florida Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Marco Island Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Southwest Florida Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against The Classical Academy of Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marco Island Academy, they will face off against Ida Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ida Baker is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
