Basketball Game Preview: Mission Heights Prep Phantoms vs. Berean Academy Eagles

The Mission Heights Prep Phantoms will take on the Berean Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Mission Heights Prep came up short against West Valley Christian and fell 41-28.

Meanwhile, Berean Academy had to suffer through a 54-24 loss at the hands of Skyline - Gila River. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Skyline - Gila River are ranked 20th).

Mission Heights Prep's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Berean Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Mission Heights Prep was taken down by Berean Academy 58-30 in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Berean Academy's Khamarah Golden, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds.
