Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Uintah on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Utes by a score of 14-13. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Utes recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Josh Hair led a balanced group of hitters, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Mountain View: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Olsen, who went 3-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Uintah, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12.

While Mountain View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
