Basketball Game Preview: Fostoria Redmen vs. Liberty-Benton Eagles

Fostoria is 0-3 against Liberty-Benton since February of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. The Fostoria Redmen will be playing at home against the Liberty-Benton Eagles at 1:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fostoria took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Otsego with a sharp 51-30 win.

Fostoria's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lyrique Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. Alycia Middlebrooks was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 14 points.

Fostoria smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.
