Baseball Recap: Warren Falls to Caldwell in First Game of Season

Warren kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Caldwell Redskins, falling 10-3. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Warren saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Cline, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Cline has posted since back in April of 2024.

Caldwell's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Warren will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Meigs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caldwell, they will head out on the road to challenge Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
