Basketball Recap: Ripon Drops Highest Score of Season Against Orestimba

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ripon). They breezed by the Orestimba Warriors to the tune of 85-49 on Tuesday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Indians just coasted through the last quarter.

It was another big night for Marcus Madoski, who went 11 for 16 on his way to 25 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. His evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Logan Lefebvre was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Ripon was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win (which was Ripon's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Orestimba, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripon will face off against Ripon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ripon Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Ripon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Orestimba, they will take on Hilmar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orestimba is facing Hilmar at the right time seeing as Hilmar is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
