Baseball Game Preview: Kearsarge Cougars vs. Bishop Brady Giants

The Kearsarge Cougars will challenge the Bishop Brady Giants at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Kearsarge comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Somersworth hit Kearsarge with a six-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars lost 11-1 to the Toppers.

Kearsarge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Byrne, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Brady). They put the hurt on Winnisquam with a sharp 12-1 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Giants in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won six in a row.

Kearsarge's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bishop Brady, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Kearsarge suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Bishop Brady when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
