Spring Woods took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Carnegie Vanguard, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rhinos 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Spring Woods had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 20-25, 25-17, 27-25, 15-13.
Idelmaris Prado paced Spring Woods' offense, picking up 24 kills. Prado got some help from Adriana Castro and her 25 assists.
Spring Woods' victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Carnegie Vanguard, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6.
