Grand Haven faced Hudsonville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Buccaneers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Buccaneers' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Grand Haven took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 27-29, 20-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Grand Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 35-9. As for Hudsonville, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Grand Haven is set to challenge their familiar foe Grandville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hudsonville will face off against rival West Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
