Baseball Recap: Lago Vista Comes Up Short

Lago Vista suffered their closest defeat since March 28, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Fredericksburg Billies by a score of 5-3. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lago Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fredericksburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Lago Vista will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wimberley at 4:00 p.m. on March 19th. Wimberley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Fredericksburg, they have already played their next matchup, a 9-1 win against Manor New Tech on the 7th.
