Baseball Recap: Mater Lakes Academy Wins Going Away Against Goleman

Mater Lakes Academy won the last time they faced Goleman and things went their way on Wednesday too. Mater Lakes Academy put the hurt on Goleman with a sharp 10-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Mater Lakes Academy got a great performance from David Ortega as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Ortega has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Andres Gomez was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Mater Lakes Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-0-1 (and 5-7-3 when he doesn't).
