Softball Recap: Old Forge Wins Going Away Against Honesdale

Old Forge won the last time they faced Honesdale and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Blue Devils blew past the Hornets 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won three matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kamryn Notari made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over seven innings pitched. Notari was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Ariana Davitt was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Mia Fox was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Old Forge and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Honesdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
