Baseball Recap: Whitewright Comes Up Short

If Whitewright was riding high fresh off their 21-1 takedown of Savoy on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Whitewright lost 9-3 to the Bells Panthers on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Whitewright saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Ulmer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Ulmer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Whitewright's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bells, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Bells, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chisum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
