Football Game Preview: Loachapoka Indians vs. Horseshoe Bend Generals + How To Watch

Loachapoka has gone a perfect 3-0 against Horseshoe Bend recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will challenge the Generals at 7:00 p.m. Loachapoka will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Loachapoka is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Central of Coosa County for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

Kj Carter and Lareaco Echols were among the main playmakers for Loachapoka as the former rushed for 119 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries and the latter gained 54 total yards and two touchdowns. Carter is becoming a predictor of the Indians' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Jaden Mabson was in the mix too, providing Loachapoka with one touchdown.

Loachapoka's defense stepped up as well, laying out Javon Thomas four times. Zicarrion Menefield was especially locked on to Central of Coosa County's QB and sacked him twice. Loachapoka received some extra help from Mabson, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Horseshoe Bend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Ranburne and fell 47-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Generals have suffered against the Bulldogs since October 9, 2015.

Loachapoka is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Horseshoe Bend, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Loachapoka strolled past Horseshoe Bend in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 47-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
