Football Recap: Covenant Classical Finds Playoff Glory Versus Heritage Christian

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Covenant Classical walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 76-62 victory over the Heritage Christian Eagles on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Cavaliers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in September, they had to take a 56-50 defeat.

Hudson Williams was the offensive standout of the matchup as he picked up 144 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.

The win was the fourth in a row for Covenant Classical, bringing their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Heritage Christian, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.
