Soccer Recap: Gettysburg's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Gettysburg's victory against Waynesboro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Indians 2-1 on Wednesday. Given Gettysburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Waynesboro are ranked 328th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Gettysburg, bringing their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Waynesboro, their record is now 0-8.

Looking ahead, Gettysburg will welcome West Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Perry's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Waynesboro, they will face off against James Buchanan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
