Basketball Game Preview: J.Z. George Jaguars vs. Union Yellowjackets

The J.Z. George Jaguars will square off against the Union Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

J.Z. George easily dispatched Eupora on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. J.Z. George fell just short of Philadelphia by a score of 35-32 on Monday. The Jaguars have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Union came up short against Sebastopol on Tuesday and fell 58-49.

J.Z. George will have to contain Rymia Craft as she made an impact in Union's last game. She dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. Craft's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gracyn Tillman, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for J.Z. George, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

J.Z. George came out on top in a nail-biter against Union when the teams last played on January 14th, sneaking past 38-36. Will J.Z. George repeat their success, or does Union have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
