Baseball Recap: Okeechobee Has No Trouble Against Westwood

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Okeechobee had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Westwood Panthers 11-1. The win continues a trend for the Brahmans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Aaron White looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mason Kindell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruben Guerrero, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The victory got Okeechobee back to even at 11-11. As for Westwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Okeechobee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Heritage on the 15th. Westwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
