The victory made it two in a row for Chariton and bumps their season record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Davis County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chariton beat Davis County by a score of 5-0 later that day.
