Basketball Game Preview: Forbush Falcons vs. Atkins Camels

Forbush hasn't had much luck against Atkins recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Falcons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Camels at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Wednesday, Forbush was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-53 to Wheatmore.

Meanwhile, Atkins played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Forsyth Country Day 84-22. The Camels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-6.

Forbush will have to keep a close watch on Brandon Yeboah and Abram Talbert, a pair of players who had a big impact on Atkins' prior game. Yeboah posted eight points, while Talbert scored five points. Yeboah is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Atkins' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Forbush, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Forbush took a serious blow against Atkins when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 58-29. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
