Baseball Recap: Gustine Reds vs. Le Grand Bulldogs
Gustine extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-10. They came up short against the Le Grand Bulldogs, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.
As for Le Grand, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games.
For Le Grand's part, Diego Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Martinez has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
