Softball Recap: Central Catholic Raiders vs. Oakdale Mustangs

Central Catholic was the 6-2 winner over Oakdale when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Catholic Raiders fell 6-3 to the Oakdale Mustangs on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that Central Catholic let down their fans at home.

Miranda "Mo" Temple made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.

On Oakdale's side, Raegen Everett was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off 12 hits. Everett has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Everett was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Presley Barnes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Morgan Wright was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
