Softball Recap: E.E. Smith Wins Going Away Against Terry Sanford

E.E. Smith lost to Terry Sanford back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Golden Bulls put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 19-13 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bulls.

Makayla Nearn was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Yeileen Colon was another key player, getting on base in five of her nine plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

E.E. Smith always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-11. As for Terry Sanford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

E.E. Smith wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 26-5 win against Westover on the 25th. As for Terry Sanford, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Pine Forest on the 25th.
