Basketball Recap: Pacifica Comes Up Short

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dos Pueblos Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Tritons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 448th, while the Chargers are ranked 162nd).

Pacifica's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Dos Pueblos, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-11.

Pacifica will challenge Rio Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacifica is facing Rio Mesa at the right time seeing as Rio Mesa is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Dos Pueblos, they will square off against Oxnard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Oxnard has won seven straight at home, while Dos Pueblos won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
