Basketball Recap: Live Oak Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Live Oak and Neville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Live Oak had to settle for second. They took an 82-65 bruising from the Neville Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Tigers are ranked 42nd).

The defeat snapped Live Oak's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-17 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points over those games. As for Neville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.
