Recap: Flatirons Academy Bison vs. Front Range Baptist Falcons
The Flatirons Academy Bison scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Front Range Baptist 93-15 on the road. With that win, Flatirons Academy brought their scoring average up to 54.2 points per game.
It was another big night for Emma Cox, who scored 36 points along with nine steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabelle Rakers, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and six steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Front Range Baptist struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Flatirons Academy pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
The win was the fourth in a row for Flatirons Academy, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Front Range Baptist, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flatirons Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Evangel Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Evangel Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Front Range Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Victory Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th.
