Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Holland's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

While Holland put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Chilton. The Hornets blew past the Pirates 16-0. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Holland is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Chilton, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coincidentally, Holland and Chilton will both be playing Rosebud-Lott the next time they take the field. The Pirates will head out to face the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
