Basketball Recap: Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Comes Up Short

If Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock was riding high fresh off their 58-37 takedown of Ellendale last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 57-56 to the Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rangers. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Rangers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock will square off against Medina/Pingree-Buchanan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock likes a good challenge. As for Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier, they will take on LaMoure/Litchville-Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully LaMoure/Litchville-Marion likes a good challenge.
