Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Inspired Vision

The Lincoln Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Inspired Vision EAGLES at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lincoln is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Conrad on Monday. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.

Lincoln's goal came courtesy of Joe Gonzalez, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Inspired Vision was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Roosevelt.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Inspired Vision, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything went Lincoln's way against Inspired Vision when the teams last played back in January, as Lincoln made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
