Baseball Game Preview: Farragut Admirals vs. Hancock Eagles

The Farragut Admirals will challenge the Hancock Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Farragut's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Hancock has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Farragut will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Kennedy on Thursday. The Admirals were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Crusaders. The result was nothing new for the Admirals, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Farragut got a massive performance out of Gio Bahena-Perez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Nico Roman, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Farragut was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Hancock fell victim to Oak Lawn and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Spartans.

Farragut has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Hancock, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-16.
